The Wolfpack made history on 21 July 2019: For the first time, a German national team won the European Championships in Rugby 7s. Great, guys! Isn’t that a really good reason to cheer on the successful hosts at this year's Oktoberfest 7s in the Olympic Stadium and celebrate an unforgettable party? After rugby had been a niche sport in Germany for a long time, the upswing is now visible in all areas.

The German Rugby Federation has the fastest membership growth of all Olympic sports federations, new clubs are springing up like mushrooms, and the national teams are also knocking energetically at the top of the world. Last year, the German team "only" achieved second place at the 2018 European Championships, losing to Ireland at the time.
